Dahab area
Dahab is located in the South Sinai and is a world-renowned location for kitesurfing and windsurfing. Offering outstanding wind statistics, with an average of 300 Force 4 - 7 days per year, there are various sailing areas to cater for all abilities.
The kitesurfing lagoon is a shallow water safety net for those handling the kite for the first time or for intermediates concentrating on sailing ability and basic jumps. The vast open sea then offers plenty of space for downwind adventures, confident boosting flat-water areas for complicated freestyle or air-time and rolling swell for those who want a taste of big waves.
Masbat Town
2 km from the Black Rock Dive Centre is the local town of Masbat, which offers a traditional Egyptian experience. Busy market stalls, shops, restaurants and cafes welcome visitors from all over the world. The European influence has gently flavoured Masbat and many bars now offer alcohol and SAT TV. There are also several companies establishing excursions and alternative activities packages which are well-worth consideration to enhance your Egyptian experience.Accommodation
All our clients in Dahab are accommodated in the Hotel Coralia, which is another close neighbour of Harry Nass and Black Rock Dive Centre. The hotel enjoys a huge expanse of green open space, no mean feat in the middle of a desert, and is located on the prime stretch of beach within easy reach of the watersports facilities in the day, and the bars at night. It’s beach is shaded and breezy, and the building offers excellent views of the bay.
Our Coaches
Our partner Harry Nass has developed the most comprehensive kitesurfing facility in Dahab. Playing host to the 2007 Cabrina kite importer's meeting in addition to operating a comprehensive teaching programme ensures that we have the best possible base for these clinics. Ideally situated near the Kitesurfing lagoon, the Harry Nass instructors are highly professional, laid back, and charming.Course Outline
