Your Placement

Our Golf Academy offers golfers of all standards a truly unique opportunity that will see you enjoy top-level golf tuition from ex-pros while playing some of the world’s most breathtaking Links courses! Your game will be dramatically improved through high quality training from internationally recognised coaches and regular practice rounds on the Links courses located on South Africa’s stunning Garden Route Coast. Players will receive wide-ranging tuition, covering all aspects of the game, including the general theory of golf, the mental approach to the sport and the technical side of the short and long game.

An In-depth Programme:

To enable you to develop your existing golfing skills, the Academy’s comprehensive programme includes a number of tutorials and practical sessions to cover all the necessary technical and physical elements of the game. These include:

• Individual, group and team coaching sessions using the latest methods
• Match playing
• Variety of talks to enhance theoretical knowledge, creating well-rounded player
• Individual technique analysis
• The Short Game: Chipping/Bunker Shots/Putting
• The Long Game: Long Irons and Drivers
• Fine-tuning of your individual game
• Controlling and shaping your shots
• Play against talented South African players

Although the emphasis is on fun, the tournament will be sure to bring out the competitive side in all the players. It is a great experience, a great laugh and everything's forgotten at the 19th hole anyway - the club bar!

African Adventure

Each week you will receive 3 to 4 days golf tuition and one recreation day. This will give you the chance to experience some truly authentic African adventure. You will be able to enjoy a number of different activities including canopy walks, abseiling, kayaking, mountain biking and horse riding, as well as boat trips to see the abundance of marine life breeding at this time of year, such as seals, bottle-nosed dolphins and whales. Plettenberg’s rivers, beaches and the bay itself are also ideal for a wide range of watersports, including surfing, sailing and superb rock and surf fishing. And with our Diving Academy being so close, you will find it hard not to take the plunge at some stage during your stay!

Furthermore, once you’ve completed the golf programme, you could even stay on and become a qualified diver on one of our 5-week diving sessions! You will also, no doubt, get to enjoy many beach Braais (South African barbeques) and a Boma (an evening meal under the stars, the South African way!).
