Many Gap Canada participants take advantage of the world-class snow sport opportunities that Canada offers. The winter season could be spent skiing or snowboarding with the option of staying in Canada long after the snow has melted. Some choose to continue working in the mountain resorts and enjoy the summer adventure activities on offer, while others head to one of Canada’s cosmopolitan cities to take up either casual or career-related work.

Taking a gap year with BUNAC is the ideal way to have a safe, yet adventurous experience overseas. From the visa processing stage to searching for a job and accommodation, BUNAC will guide and support you with more than 45 years of experience and knowledge.

BUNAC will arrange your visa and provide support and information both in the UK and on arrival in Canada. You will be given comprehensive job hunting advice both prior to travel and on arrival in Canada. You will have access to the Resource Centres in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal where you’ll find job and accommodation listings, social events organised for participants, local information and free internet access.

The Gap Canada programme is open to UK passport holders between the ages of 18-30. Participants must also have a confirmed offer to begin a full-time degree level course at a university in the UK starting in 2009. The programme registration fee is £200 (£195 for members), which covers your work visa and all support, information and services.

On Gap Canada, you will have the extra reassurance of a BUNAC travel package, which includes a flexible 12 month return flight to either Toronto or Vancouver and starts from £548.
