Futures Programme
So, you have decided to take a gap year before university; have you decided what you are going to do?Are you looking for a mix of work experience to build your skills before university and perhaps do some travelling? The IBM Futures Programme may be just what you are looking for.
The IBM Futures Programme is a 9-12 month gap year scheme for pre-university students. It offers you the opportunity to do something unique for your pre-university gap year. The scheme will enable you to gain valuable work experience and develop commercial skills in a corporate environment. It will also give you the opportunity to do something a little bit different for the last 3 months of your year out – you could spend 3 months working on a Raleigh International expedition, you could work for a UK based charity, you could decide to go travelling or you stay with IBM and try out a new role, maybe even overseas.
We offer a salary of over £13,000 and a sign on bonus of £500. In addition, we reward outstanding students a performance related bursary of £1,500 at the end of the 9-month placement. This can be put towards the Raleigh Expedition, travelling or towards savings for university.
With roles in IT and software development, the IBM Futures Programme partners a challenging and exciting work placement within one of the world’s leading information technology and consulting services companies.
