You'll be working at a small local community newspaper, where you'll become involved in a variety of tasks. It is privately owned and was established in 1995.

The newspaper itself is published on a weekly basis and comes out every Saturday, with over 7000 copies sold each week. It is printed in English and also has a fairly extensive web edition.

You'll work in a variety of roles at the newspaper. Depending on your initiative and skills, you may be assigned to take on one or more of the following:

• Photography
• Proof reading
• Advertising
• Feature articles
• Reviews
• Layouts
• Websites.

If you're thinking of making journalism your career, a placement with Travellers will give you a head start and some working experience. If you're already working in the field, you'll get a comparative experience in a different country, culture and society.
