Discover your own way to San Jose on a thrilling adventure that takes you through the highlights of Central America – discover the colonial charms of Guatemala, the Mayan ruins of Honduras, the stunning beaches of Nicaragua and the cosmopolitan capital of Costa Rica.
Ramble through cobbled streets and colourful markets in the city of Antigua before crossing the border into Honduras for temple exploration at the famous ruins of Copan. We journey through the stunning interior before we reach the coast and continue to the Caribbean island of Roatan where we spend three blissful nights soaking up the sun. Our first stop in Nicaragua is the oldest colonial city in Central America – Leon – where you can indulge in a bit of shopping or act like a true culture vulture and visit the museums and galleries. Passing scenic tobacco growing regions, we arrive in characterful Granada. More idyllic beaches and lush jungles greet us on the exquisite volcanic island of Ometepe which sits in the middle of Lake Nicaragua before our amazing journey ends in Costa Rica’s capital, the young yet modern city of San Jose.
To truly experience Central America we use buses and boats of the public transport system. Specialist local guides will bring the history of the Mayans to life at the archaeological sites we visit whilst your tour leader – a friendly face and dependable source of information - will be with you from start to finish.
