Kick-start your backpacking experience by joining our exciting 10 day tour introducing you to the wonders of Thailand. From bustling markets, to secluded tropical islands to ancient temples, you'll get a real taste for this fascinating country.
Starting with the chaos of historic Bangkok, you’ll venture to the tranquil island paradise of beautiful Koh Tao, making sure that you visit the highlights of Thailand along the way.
Let our experienced Thai guides make all the arrangements and relax as they lead you from the night markets of Cha Am to the natural splendour of Sam Roi Yot national park. This great trip is the perfect introduction to start your Thailand chapter or a longer trip around Asia.
Day 1 -2:
Arrive in Bangkok and get to know your fellow travellers at a welcome dinner before orientation and sightseeing the next day. You’ll be up bright and early to take in the best of Bangkok; the Grand Palace, local markets and stalls, the Temple of Dawn and the Reclining Buddha, rounded off with a meal and time to enjoy Khao Sans’ infamous night scene.
Days 3 -4:
Next up it’s a trip to Cha Am, in Phetchaburi province, a resort boasting Thailand’s longest white sand beach. Spend the day on the beach and the evening wandering around the night market; most of the stalls stay open until the early hours so there will be plenty of time to bag a bargain.
On your third day you’ll head 60km south of Cha Am to Khao Sam Roi Yot, a coastal national park also known as “The Mountain of Three Hundred Peaks”. You’ll visit the mangrove forests, trek through the forests and caves that surround the Limestone Mountains rising from the Gulf of Thailand and take a boat trip to view the mountains from the sea.
Days 5 – 9:
An early start is needed to travel to Koh Tao, a stunning island with less of a tourist focus than Koh Samui and Phuket. You will be staying on Sairee Beach, a 1.7km long stretch of soft white sand and shallow turquoise water. After a boat ride around Koh Tao, taking in the tiny islands of Koh Nangyaun the next few days are yours to explore this beautiful island.
Day 10:
The tour ends here. You can choose to stay on Koh Tao, travel on to other parts of Thailand or head back to Bangkok. The tour coordinators will be on hand with useful tips and advice.
