Your adventure begins in the bustling city of Cuzco, where you’ll flown into from London Heathrow. Discover an array of historical ruins or sample one of Peru’s finest exports, chocolate, at the ChocoMuseo.
Volunteer and help a Community
You’ll begin your Peruvian volunteering placement working with children and young people from a number of orphanages, kindergartens, schools or youth rehabilitation centres. You’ll be placed in one of the above mentioned projects where your work will have a clear and direct impact on local communities.
Machu Picchu
Next, push your physical limits with the 4-day Inca Trail trek. You may need to go on a few long walks before you attempt this one; however your reward will be bountiful with breath taking views of mountainscapes, cloud forests and jungles from the mountaintop. You’ll have a local guide and porter assistance the whole way, as well as a cook to keep your energy levels up. And if the hike doesn’t interest you or you’re unable to take part, alternative arrangements will be made for you and a bus will be organized to take you to Machu Picchu on the final day of the trek.
The tour will then return you back to Cuzco where you can spend your days and nights discovering the colonial history of the city, its amazing night life and unique culinary delights before returning back to the UK.
