Live in the beautiful world heritage site of Luang Prabang, the spiritual capital of Loas!
A growth of tourism in Laos has meant that having English languages skills can open up significantly more opportunities for Laotians looking for work. This has created a high demand for English teachers, but with little government funding there are often not enough resources to provide high quality education. Classes are often overcrowded and this prevents students from receiving one-on-one attention. Children in Laos are very enthusiastic to improve their English skills and by helping to develop their understanding of the English language you will increase their chances of better education and employment opportunities.
In addition to providing English lessons you will assist with or lead educational activities and outdoor games, so bring along bundles of energy!
You will be living in a guesthouse with private rooms and bathrooms in the beautiful city of Luang Prabang. The city is a fascinating fusion of French and Southeast Asian architecture, where gold domed temples and French Colonial mansions stand side by side.
At the weekends you will be free to explore the region. Take a trip up the Mekong to the Pak Ou Caves, watch the sunset from atop Mount Phu Si, swim in the Kuang Si Waterfalls, marvel at the ornate Buddhist temples and shrines, trek, raft or even take an elephant tour!
