Conservation Projects
Conservation and environmental work is one of the most productive things you can do, and working on a conservation project is a fantastic way to spend your gap year.
There are hundreds of opportunities abroad; from rainforest conservation in the Amazon to wildlife conservation in Bolivia to marine conservation on the Great Barrier Reef. The only thing that’s limiting you is your ambition and imagination.
Whatever your skills or amount of time there’s a conservation project for you.
Wildlife conservation with animals is a real ‘hands on’ experience and you’ll be dealing with some of the world’s most endangered species on a daily basis, saving them from extinction.
Conservation work can be an amazing experience, not only for you, but for everyone you work with. Not only will you experience local life that only backpackers and tourists can only dream about, but you’ll contribute to society and make a difference to people’s lives.
Volunteering really gives you the opportunity to get to know a country, to become a part of a community and to learn valuable skills for life. You’ll gain a lot more through volunteering in a country than just passing through it...
