Time Zones in Bulgaria
Bulgaria time is in the Eastern European Time Zone. Eastern European Standard Time (EET) is 2 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+2). Like most states in Europe, Summer (Daylight-Saving) Time is observed where the time is shifted forward by 1 hour; 3 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+3). After the summer months the time is shifted back by 1 hour to Eastern European Time (EET) or (GMT+2).
Electricity in Bulgaria is 230 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second. If you travel to Bulgaria with a device that does not accept 230 Volts at 50 Hertz, you will need a voltage converter. Outlets in Bulgaria generally accept 1 type of plug: Two round pins. If your appliances plug has a different shape, you may need a plug adapter.
