We offer an exciting range of tailor-made study tours to the wonderful city of Paris. With tours to the majestic Eiffel Tower, cruises down the Seine River or visits to the Louvre, this is an amazing opportunity for you to fine tune your French skills in a fun and relaxed, yet hands on environment.

We are looking for enthusiastic, French-speakers to work as Tour Leaders and accompany groups on these amazing trips.

Skills

Ideally we are looking for fluent French-speakers (ideally degree level), as you will be the person the party leader and the children rely on to ensure their tour runs smoothly.

In addition to language skills, you will need to be highly organised and have previous experience of working with children in either a voluntary or paid capacity.

Knowledge of the country you'll be working in will also be advantageous as will previous experience of visiting the major landmarks and tourist attractions.

Duties

Your normal routine will involve liaising with the Party Leader to coordinate their weekly itinerary. Once agreed, you will be responsible for ensuring travel is arranged and tickets are booked etc.

You will accompany the group on their excursions and ensure that that their visits run as smoothly as possible.

In addition to this you will be heavily involved in organising and running their evening entertainment programme. As not every groups has a full programme of visits you will also be trained to delivery PGL's core adventure activities.

Training

As a Tour Leader at Château de Grande Romaine you will need to have an in-depth knowledge of the major Parisian landmarks and tourist attractions.

To aid you with this, we will start you off by accompanying other more experienced Tour Leaders until you are confident enough to take sole charge of a group.

You will receive full training in PGL's core activities and take part in the PGL Apprenticeship programme which will focus on everything from health and safety, risk assessments, soft skills and group dynamics. This provides an industry-leading package of training, support and qualifications, enabling people to join PGL at a range of experience levels and will equip you with the skills and confidence to perform your role. There are no age restrictions on our apprenticeship programme.
