Your schedule will be based around the animals so you can expect to spend many hours observing lion behaviour and plenty of early mornings and late nights! With guidance, you will learn how to use all the relevant equipment and will be trained in all relevant areas. We will all work as a team so you’ll get involved in all areas of the research and base logistics. The project is expanding so you have the chance to be collar and habituating leopards for new research initiatives, when you are not monitoring the lions.

Please note: Because of the hyper-inflation Zimbabwe is currently experiencing (it is the highest in the world!) it is impossible to confirm prices for more than 1 month. While we will make every effort to keep costs to an absolute minimum, there is a possibility that prices could increase even after you have been accepted on the project. If this does happen, you will get a full refund if you choose to cancel because of a price increase.
If you wish to stay longer than two months, there is a supplementary charge of £800 for each additional month, subject to availability.
