In Nepal we work with a number of care homes based in and around Kathmandu. The homes offer a safe refuge and a decent education to children who have been orphaned, abandoned, neglected or children whose parents have been sent to prison, you’ll be based at whichever project needs you the most!

You will work an average of 2 or 3 hours each day, the youngsters are at school in the day, which means that your help is needed to care for them in the late afternoons or you can also get involved with teaching in local schools.

Activities are many and varied so you’ll need to be flexible; help the staff care for the children in groups, give the children a hand with their homework, take part in teaching sessions, play games and arrange craft activities if you have a creative flair!
