Elements of Camp Kenya

Camp Kenya has some of our most established wildlife projects as well as maintaining a clear focus on community development. With most camps situated either near the coast or right in the bush, it’s an experience overflowing with verity. The longer you spend with us, the more projects are incorporated into your stay.

Community

We work with several communities and which trip you choose to do will determined which communities you work with. It is a fully interactive experience where you will see your efforts making a real difference to peoples lives. From renovating dilapidated classrooms to playing sports and teaching opportunities, there is something for everyone to get stuck into.

Wildlife Conservation

Camp Kenya has excellent, well established wildlife conservation projects focusing on reducing human/wildlife conservation through practical projects and education.

Every Camp Kenya programme includes a stint at the Mwaluganje Elephant sanctuary.

If you stay for 2 or 3 months you will play an integral part to the ongoing conservation projects we have running to project the costal primates and marine life.

Safari

Situated between 2 national parks Camp Tsavo is a wildlife haven and has the highest population of elephants in Kenya. We are the ONLY operators in Kenya that can offer a NIGHT safari. Driving round the African bush with your mates, spotting wildlife such as giraffe, lion and elephant is an experience hard to beat.

Ocean

We work in partnership with Southern Cross Scuba and Water Sports. Whether it’s your first time diving or you want to gain a higher qualification, we will find you a PADI diving course that suits.

Mountain

Mount Kenya:

As the highest mountain in Kenya at 4985 metres, this is an amazing 5 day trek where you will walk through some of the most stunning scenery Kenya has to offer.

"An amazing experience! I realised how little it takes to make a small but significant change in someone´s life"

Camps International

Camps International started from a mosquito ridden box room on a beach in Kenya. Since then we have come a long way and now have sustainable community and wildlife projects throughout Kenya, Tanzania and Borneo. The result is an international, multi racial, multi religious, culturally diverse community achieving extraordinary things together.
