Making A Difference within the living community of Whakarewarewa (The Living Thermal Village) is the main goal of this package.
It is designed to give a cultural knowledge to the participant about the Maori traditions and rituals as well as to help those living in the village with conservation volunteer work.
You will get the chance to work in the village and meet the inhabitants. After completing the programme you will find yourself more aware of the Maori culture and traditions – the way they live, eat and celebrate.
You will be witnessing the Haka, Love songs, Poi dances, Stick Games and will be introduced to specific traditions that make this culture unique. The package combines entertainment, conservation and cultural understanding – everything you need to know about the Maori Culture!
