The programme starts on the 1st and 15th of each month. You can volunteer from 2 weeks to 5 months. If you wish to volunteer for less than 4 weeks, your induction will be shorter than described above.
There are no specific skills required to participate in this programme, other than be mature, flexible, willingness to get involved and a good sense of humour.
Good spoken English is also required. A little knowledge of Portuguese are appreciated but not essential.

Prices start from £795 for 2 weeks and include food and accommodation, 24/7 support and backup before you go and throughout your placement, as well as meeting you at the nearest airport. When you're on your placement, if you'd like to extend your time, you can do so at £110 per additional week.
