Product Details

Breakfast on the beach, lunch in the Andes and sunset in the Amazon. For an expedition that has everything - adventure, volcanoes, the world’s largest forest, the world’s second highest capital city, conservation and humanitarian aid - you will find it all in this diverse country. Ease yourself into Latin America life with two weeks of fun and interactive one to one Spanish classes in Quito. Classes involve visiting markets, local museums and learning Spanish in practical situations. You will soak up the Latin culture at salsa classes or even football matches where you can use your new Spanish skills.

GreenforceRising up to 3500 metres from Quito you then descend, first through the cloud forest, and finally into the Amazon. On arrival at Jatun Sacha, your home for the next three weeks, you will meet the forest guards and staff who will oversee your work in their reforestation program, organic garden and forest patrol that you will be a part of. In week six the group heads to the coastal town of Puerto Lopez for a further three weeks to help out in a top eco lodge. Here you will gain a deep understanding of how environmentally sustainable tourism can benefit a community. There will also be an opportunity to work in their inland jungle station.

Back in Quito you have your final two weeks to make a difference with the Red Cross. Working in local schools to develop and improve resources and basic health care you’ll really have the opportunity to give something back to this amazing country.
