Volunteering -  Marine Conservation in South Africa

This placement would suit:

1. Graduated scientists or students currently enrolled in an academic institution.
2. Naturalists and conservationists with an interest in gaining field experience working with sharks.

 The programme will run for a 3-week period from the 4th - 24th May 2009.

Those with an interest in marine research, marine biology, marine mammals and birds.

This placement would suit:

Anyone who wants to experience South African culture from the inside and learn about and help towards the conservation of these incredible marine creatures. No qualifications needed, just a big dose of enthusiasm and a love of all types of marine life.

Cost details:

It is possible to extend this project at £225 per week, accommodation and support included.

You can extend this project week by week as you wish.

This placement would suit:

Anyone with a passion for Marine wildlife and conservation. Excellent for people with a keen interest in Whales, Dolphins and Sharks. Fantastic opportunities for divers of all standards.

Cost details:

All our rates include your return transfer and pick up from airport, all accommodation for the duration of your placement, all meals and placement activities. We are a fully bonded agent through IATA; in conjunction with South Africa Airways we can offer some fantastic rates on international airfare.

Lovers of the marine environment who want to learn more about the conservation and research of whales, dolphins and seals.

When you're on your placement, if you'd like to extend your time, you can do so at a cost of £185 per additional week.

This placement can be extended for any length of time (many of our volunteers do!), restricted only by any possible visa requirements.

This placement would suit:

People with an interest in marine life, research and conservation, who aren't afraid of working closely with Great White Sharks!
