You'll work in a local law practice in Mendoza City. With 18 staff currently, this firm concentrates particularly on the following areas of law:
- Labour law counselling for corporations
- Financial activities
- Corporations and Joint Ventures
- General counselling for corporations
- Insurance and National and international transport
- Economic criminal law
- Customs criminal law
- Mining law
- Constitutional law
- International human rights law
There is plenty of work to be done here and it will be challenging. You will be guided at the beginning and then given research to do before presenting your own opinions or point of view. It will include paper and administrative work as well.
This law firm is looking for "kind and patient people who have some previous knowledge of law". You'll work as part of a team but you'll also do some independent work on research. Your supervisor has excellent English and everyone in the firm speaks English to intermediate level.
You’ll work 4 hours a day from 9am - 1pm, Monday to Friday and you'll have your weekends free for sightseeing, playing and relaxing. You will be expected to dress smartly (suits and ties for the men).
You should have a intermediate level of Spanish to do this placement.
