On top of our usual Outdoor Instructor roles in Canada, some of our outdoor camp hosts also offer volunteers the chance to experience a caring element to their placement. If you were interested in this experience, you could choose to volunteer in a camp that welcomes groups of disadvantaged children or people with special needs. Your responsibilities in these roles will be very active and varied, and you can expect to help run exciting activities such as High Ropes, Zip-line, Climbing Wall, Archery, Orienteering, Animal Game, Hiking, Broomball, Snowshoeing, Wilderness Survival, Arts & Crafts etc. You will also be responsible for the direct care, support and supervision of campers. Working with residents in these camps and helping them enjoy their active stay at these camps is a hugely fun and rewarding experience. All applicants are matched to placements to ensure that there is a good fit between the volunteer and their host communities.
