The work is varied as volunteers will work in a variety of wards helping with many different tasks. Japanese lessons will be provided at the hospitals and volunteers may be asked to teach English to the nursing staff. The more Japanese you know, the more responsible the tasks you may be given. Accommodation and Food
Accommodation is usually in apartments close to the hospital or care home where you are volunteering. Meals are provided on site and most placements provide pocket money. Additional pocket money can be earned by teaching English to staff.

Individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine or just want to gain more experience in the hospital environment and make a difference. Volunteers will be involved in many aspects of hospital duties, general nursing assistance, general care of patients and work with medical teams. Japan is a stunning, welcoming country and volunteers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a new culture.
