Kruger to Coast Experience

Get ready for an adventure that gives you the chance to experience Southern Africa’s wonders; set off on safari, spend 5 days in Kruger National Park, take a dip with Whale Sharks and get a taste of Swazi life!

Days 1-7
Kick off your South African adventure by camping in Kruger National Park. As the most famous wildlife spot in South Africa you’ll have the chance to see Africa’s big game animals including lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo, leopard and wild dog, explore and learn about the park and its inhabitants on guided game drives and bush walks.

Day 8-20 Community projects, Ezulwini, Swaziland
Onto Swaziland where you will visit the Mantenga Cultural Village to gain an insight into Swazi culture, lifestyle and traditional dancing and help out with a worthwhile volunteer project.

You will spend two weeks working in care centres that offer support to orphans and children affected by the AIDS pandemic, aged between 3 and 13 years old. You’ll be able to get involved with a range of tasks to help the centre and the community such as building, running sports days, teaching the children and assisting on medical projects.
If you are at the project for 4 weeks you will be able to take part in the following project work:

• Organising creative games and craft classes and practical projects
• Organising sports days
• Planting a range of crops that can improve the children’s nutrition
• Giving the youngsters attention and kindness
If you are at the project for 6 weeks you will be able to take part in the following project work:
• Teaching basic English and Maths
• Looking after the children at meal times and in the mornings before classes
• Arranging stimulating, creative games and craft classes
• Arranging sports days

Day 21-28 Marine conservation tour, Tofo Beach, Mozambique
Pack your towel and relax on the amazing tropical ocean beaches of Mozambique for your final week. Stay in a laid-back beach village on the Inhambane Peninsula, a marine paradise where you can swim with Whale Sharks, check coral reefs and sport turtles. Opt to go on a unique ocean safari and an ocean kayak expedition, if you have a dive certificate you can also explore the deep blue with local five operators!

Those staying for 4 weeks will be off home at the end of this week while those staying got 6 weeks will return to your volunteer project at Ezulwini.
