Nepal is much more than her rich geography. This small mountain nation is home to 30.5 million people, with a melting pot of over 100 ethnic groups represented. Deeply spiritual, the Nepalese have Hinduism and Buddhism as their two main religions. Many people still live in quaint rural villages, where the way of life has remained unchanged for centuries.
This developing nation struggles to provide many basic resources those living in relative poverty. With many relying on agriculture for their livelihood, the emphasis on day-to-day survival means education is pushed down the list of priorities. With a literacy rate of 68%, Nepal has many communities in need of educational support.
This is where you can help. Letz Live has worked closely with local Nepalese organisations to develop an enriching volunteer program. You can travel to the spectacular mid hills of Nepal to assist in the teaching program at a rural school and orphanage. You will become fully immersed in the local culture as you stay with a host family and work closely with school staff. The benefit to the children is immeasurable. Your energy and enthusiasm will make a great difference to their lives and they will have a greater understanding of the world beyond their village. Program Requirements:
All Letz Live & Volunteer participants require the following;
• Minimum 17 years at time of departure;
• No criminal records (we may ask for proof);
• An easy-going attitude;

Application Procedure:
Register your interest by simply completing our online registration form - you will be asked to select your preferred arrival date and will be invited to finalise a AUD$200 deposit. A Letz Live representative will then be in correspondence with you shortly thereafter to discuss your volunteer placement in Nepal in greater detail and to arrange the logistics of your placement.
