Wildlife Protection and Maasai in Africa
Unique to GreenFORCE with our own Expedition Leader to ensure your safety and enjoyment join an international team of students on our exciting hands on program, put geography, biology and international aid skills into practice and make a real difference.
On the GreenFORCE Africa program you will live in a real Maasai village, in traditional Booma's as we undertake our education and development program at their request. Increasingly pushed into small areas by tourism and water supplies, the Maasai need your help!
Wildlife Protection and Monitoring Patrol. Work alongside our scientists on wildlife protection programs for the African Wildlife Foundation.
On the GreenFORCE Program you can complete the whole ten week program or select the parts you wish to do.
Departures: January, April, July and October.
Part 1: Maasai Village: Learn Maasai hunting skills, customs, language and traditions.
Part 2: Wildlife conservation programs. Undertake wildlife patrols with local scientists and wardens, learn international conservation techniques. Put key skills into action. Includes a Safari to three separate National Parks includes the famous Ngorogoro Crater and the Serengeti/Maasai Mara.
Part 3: Community Teaching Programs. Live in a Swahili Village on our NGO supported community teaching programs. You also gain confidence and key learning skills.
Part 4: Zanzibar and the Spice Islands. Sail in the dhow into the Marine Park for amazing snorkelling plus Dive training option. Plus beach side full moon party, the ideal chill out after our interior volunteer program. Request our full project information pack.
