Bears have been mistreated within tourism for too long. It is only recently that animal rights legislation has made it to Eastern Europe and with it brought an end to the culture of dancing bears. As a volunteer at Europe's largest Bear Sanctuary on the outskirts of Brasov, Romania, you will be helping to give these magnificent animals a happier, healthier life. You will be an active member of the team, helping the full time staff with the day-to-day tasks including feeding the bears and importantly observing their behaviour during this period of rehabilitation.
