enthusiastic volunteers with a love of children and a desire to immerse themselves in the Ghanaian way of life during their placement with Changing Worlds.
Anyone who loves working with children of all ages. Volunteers at this project should also be excited about learning about a new culture; open minded enough to accept differences and creative enough to entertain enthusiastic children! As with many teaching placements in areas with few resources you may get the chance to work independently and without supervision so you will have some freedom in your work. To help you prepare and give you some ideas the i-to-i 40 hour online course is included.
Someone with teaching experience. If possible a TEFL course is recommended, though not mandatory. We can provide an introduction to TEFL course if required.
If you have limited teaching experience, it is recommended that you visit a primary school in your home country before you depart.
The greatest attribute you can posses is flexibility and a willingness to get involved.
