Teachers are experienced and make the course a lot of fun by providing hands-on practical exercises and valuable support and feedback while you learn. Teaching English abroad is a wonderful and rewarding experience, whether you use it as part of a gap year, as part of a career break or just as a cheaper way to travel further and see more. Once qualified you can go anywhere in the world and live the dream!

The constant flow of travellers to their shores hasn’t blunted the enthusiasm with which Peruvians welcome new arrivals. A cool glass of the famous Inca Cola awaits everyone, especially those who have come to volunteer their time and efforts. Keep a couple of cans handy as they’ll go down well with the kids at this charity which works with around 270 abandoned or orphaned girls.

It says something about the quality of the wildlife that the people of Kenya are regarded as only the second best reason to visit the country. A friendlier bunch you couldn’t wish to meet, but then they’ve had a lot of practice in the art of the warm welcome, given the numbers of visitors they get. They save a special welcome and a cup of local tea for those coming to volunteer though.
