The Writers Academy has been created to help aspiring travel writers break into the industry by developing their skills and publishing their work on the site.
It can be the first step towards creating that all-important portfolio that will showcase your talent on a major travel website and help you stand out from the crowd when applying for that dream job.

The first is to check out what we’re looking for right now on the topics page. This is where you’ll find ideas for content that we’ve put forward. These will be a mixture of time-sensitive ideas, such as advice about an upcoming event, and ideas which can be put into action anytime, such as photo essays on certain places. If you see something you fancy having a crack at, just drop us a line at email@example.com stating your interest, and we’ll be right back in touch.
Tell us what you can give!
The second way to get your content published on the site is to approach us with your own ideas, simply by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with a pitch. If we like what we see, you’ll find a commission coming your way. Even if we’re not quite convinced of an idea, our team of professional travel writers will be in touch right away to suggest possible tweaks, so you can’t really go wrong!
Note: Please send a pitch outlining your idea in a maximum of a couple of hundred words. Please do not send a complete draft until we have requested it.
Once you’ve delivered your first draft, we’ll give you clear and concise feedback and tell you what (if anything) needs to be changed to make it publishable.
Your work will then be published along with your name and author biography.
