Craft beer brewer BrewDog has revealed that it will launch the world’s first ever craft beer airline next year.
The inaugural flight will take off on February 21 next year, taking passengers from London Stansted to Columbus, Ohio – where the BrewDog brewery is based.
What makes it a beer flight? Passengers will board a BrewDog-branded Boeing 767, and be treated to numerous beer tastings, including beer specially designed to taste better at high altitude, during the journey. There will also be beer cocktails and food and beer pairings.
When passengers reach Columbus, they’ll be taken on tours of the city and the BrewDog brewery, as well as a day trip to Cincinnati to tour breweries there. They’ll then return to London on February 25.
Unfortunately, the flight isn’t available to just anyone. To book your place you need to be an ‘Equity Punk’, which is to say a BrewDog investor. If you really want a place, check their social media channels for chances to win tickets.
Hopefully the pilots will remain teetotal.
