If you’re in search of a truly unique Christmas present for a traveller friend, you probably can’t do much better than a New Zealand nudist park.
Katikati Naturist Park, which advertises itself as a retreat ‘for clothes-free recreation and relaxation’, is officially for sale.
Found in North Island’s Bay of Plenty, the 14-acre park sits just a couple of miles from the beach. The new owner of the park will take stewardship over ‘motel type units, cabins, caravans, fifty-one powered sites and over twenty tent sites’, all of which are intended specially for nudists to enjoy.
Yes, that means nudity is mandatory. Visitors ‘are expected to go clothes-free whenever the weather is suitable’, insists the website.
So guests can enjoy naked mini-golf, naked swimming, naked badminton, and much more naked fun, all set against the backdrop of the beautiful New Zealand countryside.

So, how much will owning the nudist park set you back? The lease is $380,000 NZD, which is around £205,000 – significantly less than buying a house in many areas of the UK. Competition is expected to be fierce.
And if you don’t fancy owning it, you can visit the park and go New Zealand nude for as little as $10 NZD a day. Just think of the money you’ll save on laundry!
