Stag dos in the North Pole
Last Night of Freedom offer a stag do like no other
Forget Munich or Prague for your stag do; go to the North Pole instead and really have a weekend to remember (or not, as is often the case).
Travel company Last Night of Freedom – which specialises in trips for stag and hen dos – now offer a trip to the North Pole. However, it’s not exactly on a backpacker’s budget at £24,999.
Last Night of Freedom believe that this will be the first ever stag group to reach the North Pole and say it is “an extreme stag do for guys who want to make history”.
The stags will fly to Longyearbyen in Svalbard, Norway, before being dropped by helicopter three miles from the North Pole.
The group will then ski cross-country, and camp overnight at the most northerly part of the world, celebrating their achievement with caviar and Champagne. The next morning they’ll return to Longyearbyen by helicopter. The stag do lasts for five nights in total.
Matt Mavir, the company’s managing director, said: “There’s nothing else like this on the market for stag groups”.
On the Last Night of Freedom website, the expedition is described as “One small step for man, one giant leap for stagkind!”
The online guide explains: “Go where no stag has gone before. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to round up the lads and put those Bear Grylls skills into practise. This is not for the faint-hearted, so make sure you select your expedition squad with the precision of Jose Mourinho. We’re going to give you the chance to follow in the footsteps of the original arctic pioneers trips to the North Pole, just with more vodka and less frostbite.”
