You are dating a Moomin now

One of the many potentially daunting things about travelling alone is having to go to a restaurant and sit by yourself. Dining alone is widely considered a bit sad, and it can make you feel very lonely indeed.
A restaurant in Japan has offered a unique solution to this problem by offering stuffed toys as dining companions.
Moomin Cafe in Japan
The Moomin Cafe in Tokyo makes available life-sized stuffed versions of the loveable Moomin characters – from a popular series of Finnish children’s books – to sit in the seat opposite you and stare with cold, dead eyes as you try and eat.
They’re not good at making conversation, and they’re rarely up for sharing a dessert, but they’ll happily listen as you tell them how much backpacking has changed your life without rolling their eyes.
Unfortunately, they never offer to pay the bill.
