Ok, so who’s been and can give me some advice? Thinking of going at some point next year and doing the hike, but don’t know a great deal about it.
How do you get there? What fitness level do you need for the hikes? How long should you spend – we are thinking a long weekend? Anything else I should know?
Thanks 🙂

Hey Hannah,
I went to the Cinque Terre in September – loved it! You don’t have to be mega fit, the majority of people there had grey hair so sure you’ll be alright. Long weekend would be perfect. When I went a few of the trails were closed so I reckon 4/5 days is the best amount of time. I really loved it there. So beautiful. You can find out more about my trip on my gapyear.com blog: http://www.gapyear.com/members/Vicky/blogs/92273-hiking-in-the-cinque-terre
Let me know if you have any more questions…

Long weekend should give you plenty of time. The hike from start to end can be done in one day – it’s not particularly challenging. Of course, getting there and away will take time as well, and if you want to really explore the area a bit, a few days is good.
One of my favourite places in Italy, you’ll love it.
What are you specifically looking to know?
