I’m going to Australia in April, and finding the WHV apply is quite difficult! Has anyone used an immigration adviser? How much does this cost?
Why is it difficult?
Just fill in the boxes on the form as asked… if you use and advisor they will only charge you for something you can do yourself.
The problem is I’ve got German and Spanish passports, and am not sure whats best to use. And I was planning to be there while applying for the visa, and one of the conditions is that you have to be outside Australia…
Both of them are European Union passports so the conditions of entry should not differ. I would just use the passport you intend to travel to australia on. Someone correct me if I’m wrong please.
Spain doesn’t have an agreement for WHV with Australia..Germany does, but I just got the German passport and have allways traveled with the Spanish one.
If you’re going to Australia for the WHV then you should use the German one I guess.

Well you have your answer right there. If Spain doesn’t have an agreement with Aus then you have no option but to use the German one.
What they said.
Apply with the German passport and be honest when they question your Spanish one at the airport. They WILL know you have it, and if they ask about it, don’t lie. Tell them the WHV was easier to secure with your German passport, so it was the obvious thing to do.
I have two valid UK passports, and Oz immigration can be a bit awkward about it when they want to be.
