For a real chill out check out the South Sea Nomads They are based on Gili Tarawagan and run 1 to 7 day dive, snorkel and surf trips; a really great crowd. http://www.southseanomads.org

u must go to UBUD, The center of Culture in Bali.
ubud is so artsy! ucan find many art galleries there(from paintings to wood and rock carving)and beautiful ricefield view along the way, Ubud is located on highlands so its not very hot like Kuta or Sanur.
visit also MONKEY FOREST at Sangeh where u can interact with cute monkeys.
oh yeah, there also GreenSchool, located in Sibangkaja (the biggest bambboo structure in the world) the architecture is breeeathtaking, worth to visit!!!
-dont forget to visit Bali Bird Park, and Bali Elephat Ride at Bali Elephant Camp, situated between the rice paddies, jungle and the Ayung River where is the most natural places in Bali. Your adventures pass through unworldly beauty and natural rice paddies, quaint Balinese Villages, temple and local market on the scenic drive to Bali Elephant Camp that is located in the historic village of Carangsari only a short distance from Sangeh Monkey Forest is a place of interest in Bali.  for more of tropical Bali experience!

u can find gamelan performance course there but i’m not not sure where, my friend said that she learn Gamelan Performance in Tirta Sari. (but not sure where it located)

but i know that there so many art courses and workshops there!!

maybe u can find in this site:
http://www.baliblog.com/places-to-go/regional-guides/ubud-area-guide/ubud-art-classes/courses-workshops-in-ubud.html

plus there are many great spa to enjoy! (but they are mostly not cheap)
