Countries  »  Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago - or to give it its full name, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago - is a country made up of two stunningly beautiful islands in the Caribbean archipelago, just off the northern coast of Venezuela.

Backpackers and travellers arriving to the country usually start their explorations in Port of Spain, Trinidad’s capital and cultural centre. It plays host to a world renowned street carnival, a cultural and artistic welcome that is second to none.

Tobago is a tranquil, beautiful island which makes it a very desirable gap year destination. Its capital Scarborough (which could never be mistaken for its Yorkshire namesake) is the home of the famous botanical gardens. Beach lovers and divers will find Tobago's tepid waters and white sands a delight.
