Intern Abroad HQ offers flexible and affordable internships in Guatemala! Placements are based in and around Santa Lucia Milpas Altas, just 15 minutes from the picturesque city of Antigua. Intake dates for new interns are typically offered twice a month. Applicants may apply online to formally express their interest (it’s free and non-obligatory to apply) and – upon being accepted – register to confirm their internship in the field of education.
Interns on Environmental Conservation internship placements are required to have basic Spanish language skills and a passion for nature. A background in environmental conservation or a related field is desirable, but not essential. Tasks may involve the use of recycled materials, developing ecological solutions for resource management, building and maintenance of trails, helping to catalogue plant species, providing workshops regarding eco-friendly practices, organic gardening and the promotion of ecotourism.
