Our summer programme is ideal for students who are looking to boost their CV with international work experience over the summer and travel after the placement.
Our placements are for either 2-7 weeks in July and August 2018.
What will I be doing?
Working with students aged 7-15, you will be responsible for planning and delivering fun and engaging lessons focusing on improving students’ oral English. Your school will provide a curriculum, but there is plenty of scope to use your creativity and imagination.
Classes run from 9-5, 5 or 6 days per week. You will get a long lunch break and free time during the evenings.
Accommodation is provided in either a shared apartment or hotel room and is within walking distance of the teaching site.
Many of our interns choose to travel before or after their placement.
Am I eligible?
Our summer teaching internship programme is open to students in all years and from all degree disciplines.
Previous teaching experience or knowledge of Mandarin is not a requirement.
We are looking for enthusiastic, organised and committed individuals who will rise to the challenge of living and working abroad.
It is possible to apply for this programme with a friend/partner and we will endeavour to place you in the same city.
What do you offer?
Our internship programme is designed to ensure you walk into the classroom with confidence.
With a programme fee of £295 for 2 week placements and £550 for 7 week placements, you will receive:
• Pre-departure orientation day
• Access to our exclusive lesson plan library
• Contact in China
• Ex-teacher ‘buddy’ to answer any questions
• £140 pocket money per month
Please note, we do not cover the visa, flight and insurance costs.
