Boston Marathon Bombing Memorial

In April 2013, two Chechen brothers exploded a homemade bomb at the finish line of the Boston marathon. The terrorist attack killed 3 people, injured hundreds more and rocked the local community.

I travelled to Boston a few weeks after the bombing. Tragic as the events were, there was a feeling of extraordinary resolve in Boston at the time. Locals and tourists all over the city wore t-shirts bearing the slogan “Boston Strong” in support of the victims and survivors of the attack.

I visited the finish line at Boylston Street while exploring the city and took these photographs of the memorial.
