Hiroshima (A quick introduction)
Sadly Hiroshima is known around the world for one reason, on the 6th August 1945 America dropped the worlds first atomic bomb here killing thousands of people. There are small memorials and reminders all around the city but the main one is the peace park in the West of the city. There`s a museum and many memorials for different groups of people affected by the disaster. The main focus points are the A-bomb Dome and the peace flame which will be extinguished once all the nuclear wepons in the world have been destroyed.
The events of 1945 have forced the city to completely rebuild making it a modern and lively city looking forward rather than back. The city centre is thought to have about 4000 bars and a huge choice of restaurants and clubs as well. Basically despite the past events its like any other modern city and has pretty much everything you could want.
The city is pretty compact and despite having over 1000000 residents a lot of the bars etc. have a friendly local atmosphere.
The city is almost surrounded by mountains and it`s also near the sea so there`s a few decent beaches and small islands within reach of it.
