How to Make Good Nature Photos
In autumn you walk through the park and see the golden rays of the evening sun that make their way through the leaves of the trees. You see beautiful mountains, interesting clouds, a beach, the forest and of course, the first thing you want to do is to get the camera and immortalize this beauty. In this article, you will learn how to photograph nature, to make your pictures keep the pleasant memories and look creative.
• Do not focus on the middle.
Mostly the photographers try to place the main subjects to the very middle of the frame. However, if the subjects are moved to the side, a photo becomes more interesting and attractive. The viewer looks attentively to the photo that looks a little different from ordinary one.
• Get closer.
You can take landscape shots that include the whole environment, but you should also be careful to the details. The close-ups of wildlife, plants, or insects sometimes are even more exciting than pictures of a huge canyon!
You can use a macro mode to take some nice shots of the flowers, leaves, water drops. Change the focal point of your camera to control the eye of the viewer. The natural curves of the flowers and branches can become a nice basis for an interesting composition.
• Make things up.
Try snapping from different angles, change your position. Hover above the subjects, take pictures from below and do not limit yourself to take several photos of a single subject from different angles, and you will realize how different one thing can be.
Digital photo camera encourages you to experiment and take tones of photos until you capture an outstanding shot.
• Shine the flash over here!
Many people forget to use their built-in flash outside, but in fact, it is a great resource. On cloudy days when the natural light is dull, flash can fill in the darker shadows and brighten some subjects you want to emphasize.
Set your camera on a landscape mode and chose some unusual object that differentiates itself from the rest of monotonous landscape.
Use the rule of thirds, that means you have to divide an image into three horizontally areas and three vertically ones. The unusual subject that was mentioned before will be good looking if you locate it on the place these lines intercross.
Experiment and have fun!
