Hola from Quito!

Well I’m finally here! Got here on the 7th march, so about ten days ago and have been none stop since!
The flight over here was interesting to say the least. I think it lasted about 14 hours, but I was sat next to a very elderly, smelly spanish lady with a dodgy leg so it wasn’t the most relaxing of flights!
When I got here I was taken straight to my homestay with one of the other girls and to be honest I don’t think I have ever been so scared. I was hungry, jet lagged, tired, had altitude sickness and wanted to go home and get a hug off my mum!
Anyway a new day, a new perspective! The next morning I felt much better!
For the first week I had intensive spanish lessons, which I was in desperate need of but they were sooo dull!
I also spent my second night pushing my family’s car down the road with my ecuadorian ‘mum’ who is like hyacinth bouquet. It was pissing down with rain and we were down some dodgy back road. I had to laugh.
This is so brief-got to go home for dinner. Will update more soon!
Really need a rest as I’m working at a kindergarden!
