Bargara, Dingo, Airlie Beach
From Hervey Bay there has been lots of bus travelling and not much else. First day, we went to Bargara and stopped overnight there. Sometimes turtles come up onto the beach to lay eggs but there werer none that night.
Next day, we drove to Dingo, a small town in the middle of nowhere. The Oz Bus bill this as there biggest party night and it didnt disappoint. We were staying on a cattle farm and after dinner we did some line dancing, a tug of war between the north bound and south bound buses, which Im glad to say us northbounders won, and lots of dancing on the tables. Everyone had such a good time.
Next morning, we got a tour of the cattle station. They showed us the cows, how they get water, then left us try and crack a whip. Apparently, I had the technique right but I needed more practice to get the right noise. A few people managed to get it. We were also shown the proper way to throw a boomerang.
Once leaving there we got the bus to Airlie Beach. This is our jumping off point for the Whitsundays. Unfortunately its raining quite heavily. Some of the day tips have been cancelled but ours is currently still on. Hopefully, we will have 3 days sailing around the islands, relaxing on some of the beaches and snorkelling.
