22nd- 23rd June

On the 22nd we wandered around Chiang Mai. We stumbled across a Monks training centre and after asking if we could wander around the premises, we took many photos and started talking to a monk who explained a bit about the Buddist religion to us.

In the afternoon we treated ourselves to our first Thai massage. It is not the most relaxing of massages, it’s more like yoga. They push and click your bones into all sorts of folded positions but it did feel exhilirating.

On the night of the 22nd we jumped on a night train to Bangkok. The 2nd class sleepers were really comfy but the train is so so noisy that I didn’t sleep at all.

Once we arrived in Bangkok (6am)on the 23rd, and we were back at Asha guest house, I jumped straight back to bed and woke up midday to see that Darren had sorted out the train to Hua Hin for the next day, which was great of him.

In the afternoon we headed back to Siam and back to MBK the shopping centre, were we bought lots of gifts for ourselves and family.
