Traveling Florence as a child

I’ve been to Florence when i was i little girl, about 12 years old. I remember how beautiful everything was. The houses were each in different lovely colors, the windows had wooden shutters and they were all 2-3 stories high houses so you could always see the sky, that also had unbeliveable colors.
I also remember going to the Duomo (Cathedral) di Santa Maria del Fiore, an amazing old and huge gothic cathedral. For a little girl it felt like being in some kind of ferrytale.
I remember the Pizza we had (a number of times…), no one seems to remember the name of the place but we all remember that thin, crispy, hot slice.
We went to many place for sightseeing and fun like the Ponte Vecchio, a bridge that people live on and there are stores and everything (very exiting), we went to museums galleries like the Uffizi gallery, and to the Piazzale Michaelangelo (some of these my dad had to remind me of… 🙂 but i mostly enjoyed just looking at everything. It was really beautiful and magical and I hope that when i go back there as a grownup i’ll still see all that magic, though i’m pretty sure it won’t be the same.
Maybe better 🙂
