Well I guess I should tell you a little about me.
I’m Rosie, 19 years old & I’m from Perth, in Scotland. When I left school in 2004 I really had no idea what I wanted to do so I thought I’d work for a year & maybe the year after I might know what course I’d like to study at College or University. I had a part time job in Tk Maxx so I spoke to them nicely & a nice full time job was headed my way. In January sometime I realised that I still had no idea what I wanted to do & that the UCAS closing date had passed, so no Uni for me this year. I’ve talked of doing a gap year since I was about 15 & after becoming a member of this site & showing my mum some of the articles & things on it I decided that this was what I wanted to do. So I’ve scrimped & saved over the past 9 months & I’m finally about to go on my trip of a lifetime.
I’m going to Australia for a year on a WHV. I fly out on Thursday 8th September, 2 days away 😀 and I cannot wait. I’ve got a 2 night stop-over in Singapore then I land in Sydney on Monday 12th September at 5.20AM. My plan is stay in Sydney (or round about it) up until January 2006, when I’ll travel up the East Coast to Cairns (with a few stops on the way). Then I’ll go across to Alice Springs & Uluru, over to Perth then round to Adelaide & Melbourne then finally back to Sydney where I fly home from, via Thailand for a few days. During my time in Australia I plan to learn to surf & also do a bungee jump, I also want to do other things I just haven’t thought of them yet.
