Well, Im here in the centre of Backpacking in SE Asia, Khaosan Road, Bangkok.
I dunno where I left off…
So yesterday morning I left the lovely Perhentians(I had to drag myself onto the boat). I was catching the ferry with a couple of people I met on the Island, Patrick(the Irish guy) and Haji(the Dutch guy). Patrick was heading to Taman Negara and myself and Hagi were heading to Bankok.
Kuala Besut is where the boat arrived at and Patrick went his seperate way. I met and English guy who wanted to share the 1 hour taxi drive to the Thai border. He left the UK 5 months ago and is now a dive master in Thailand…I was so tempted to head straight there and get some more diving in..
Anyway, myself and Haji caught the 22 hour train to Bankok, covering over 950km. It was long and bumpy and there were some strange folk on the carriage, but I survived.
Got to Bankok this morning then caught a Tuk tuk to Koaosan road.
Found pretty good accomodation. 600 baht for a single room with tv, AC, fan, toilet and shower.. 10 quid, not bad.
Had a shufti round the streets here. You can buy anything here.
Finlay – Email me a passport photo of yourself and I can get you a really good fake driving license. Or let me know what football strip you want.
I am going to book my flights from Bangkok to Singapore soon, I am looking to head over there and onto OZ and Png around the 8th. I am going to spend the next few days here I think then head North to Chang Mia(spelling?).

Tonight, I am going to go see some Thai Boxing with Haji. I have loads of photos still to come onto flickr, just need the time to upload them
