JustGiving Awards 2012
We know a lot of you like to fund raise for your gap year alongside a favourite charity. With that in mind, nominations are now open for the JustGiving Awards 2012, celebrating the achievements of over 380,000 fundraisers. 8,000 charities have used the site over the past year and raised over £200 million for good causes.
Now in their third year, the JustGiving Awards will be given out in 13 categories, from Most Popular Fundraiser, to Endurance Fundraiser of the Year, to Most Creative Charity of the Year, to Best New Charity. The awards will be judged by a panel of leading fundraising, philanthropic and digital figures, as well as winners of previous awards.
JustGiving is a website that provides online fundraising tools that enables the electronic collection of donations. The company has changed the face of online donations and the Charity Times claimed the company had “transformed the face of donating in the UK.”
JustGiving provides its service for more than 9,000 UK-registered charities and has raised over £700 million since its launch in 2000.
The JustGiving Awards are free to enter and open to anyone who has used JustGiving to fundraise and to every charity that's registered on the site. To nominate an individual or charity, or to nominate your own fundraising achievements, go to www.justgivingawards.com for more details. Entries must be completed before 6th January 2012.
