The Outdoors Show
It’s only a week until The Outdoors Show, the UK’s largest show for outdoor pursuits, and it’s going be a great chance to discuss gap years and get some backpacking and travelling ideas.
It opens next Thursday 12th and runs until Sunday 15th January at the ExCeL centre in London. There will be top experts and celebrities from the worlds of walking, travelling, photography and climbing.
At the Finlandia Vodka Travel & Adventure Stage visitors will be able to listen to a wide range of explorers, from Shipwreck Hunter David Mearns to world record breaking adventurers Richard Parks and Ed Stafford (who as you know was interviewed on gapyear.com), as well as catching the latest highlights from The Banff Mountain Film Festival. Also confirmed to speak on the opening day of the show is presenter and adventurer Ben Fogle.
One of the biggest attractions at The Outdoors Show is the Photography Village. Expert photographers Andy Rouse and Joe Cornish will present their first joint exhibition, Outer Visions, where their latest and most impressive work will be on display. There will also be the chance for visitors to meet and greet top UK photographers, as well as being able to listen to travel, wildlife and landscape photography talks on the main stage.
